A boat for the day in Ibiza … A day to remember

Occasionally we are lucky enough to get a day off in the summer. What do you do on a day off if you run a charter boat business in Ibiza you may ask. Take a boat out for the day of course. My wife and I had an unexpected day off in August last summer due to a late cancelation and decided to take one of the boats out. We headed off with no real plan and found ourselves heading towards Formentera. The smallest of the belairic islands After an hour of slow cruising we decided it was time for a spot of lunch. We pulled up outside the tropicana Restaurant in calla jondal next to the famous Blue Marlin beach club, we were greeted by a very friendly tender driver that made us a reservation for half an hour giving us enough time to freshen up. We went ashore and had an amazing meal of Thai and eastern fusion food. Good value at around 30€ per person. After lunch we could not resist the temptation of a cocktail or two in the Blue marlin beach club. Again at 15€ a cocktail not a complete rip off bearing in mind where we were. We decided at this point we will sleep on the boat as our charter the following day wasn’t  until 2-30pm so we headed over to Formentera pulling up at Besso beach bar. We went ashore for the sunset and another cocktail or two. Returning to the boat we made a few snacks and chilled out under the stars. It was truly amazing waking up in the morning and slowly cursing back to San Antonio feeling blessed and recharged.
